The World Diamond Council welcomes the three new members

ARCTIC CANADIAN DIAMOND COMPANY

Based in Calgary in the western Canadian province of Alberta, in February 2021 the Arctic Canadian Diamond Company acquired a majority interest in the Ekati Diamond Mine, which is located in Canada’s Northwest Territories. The company is owned by a syndicate of investment funds comprising DDJ Capital Management, Brigade Capital Management and Western Asset Management Company, LLC.

Founded in 1920 in Osaka, Japan, and now based in Tokyo, Uchihara is the total-service group of diamond and jewelry companies, importing polished and rough diamonds and jewelry, making use of its own “Bonded Warehouse” within its Tokyo HQ. It also develops and deals exclusive diamonds and jewelry brands and collections, with wholesale and retail sales, both through the high-end department stores and proprietary outlets.
