Joining the diamond industry in 1977, Ronnie Vanderlinden is President of Diamex, Inc., a New York-based diamond manufacturer and wholesaler. He is today President of the International Diamond Manufacturers Association (IDMA) and is the first President of the United States Jewelry Council (USJC), an umbrella organization of 17 U.S. associations. He earlier served as President of the Diamond Manufacturers & Importers Association of America (DMIA), as Chairman of the Board of the New York Diamond Dealers Club and as President of the prestigious 24 Karat Club.
Anoop Mehta is the Chairman and Managing Director of Mohit Diamonds Pvt. Ltd. and a partner in Mohanlal Raichand Sons, a family business since 1916. With more than 40 years of industry experience, he helped lead the growth of the diamond, jewelry and watch sectors in India, expanding its operations globally. He played a key role in establishing the Bharat Diamond Bourse, of which he is today President, and is active in other industry associations. He received a Lifetime Achievement Award in 2014 from Jeweller News Asia.
A French native, Elodie Daguzan is an over-20-year veteran of the diamond industry, having filled a variety of roles in various sectors of the value chain. Over this period, she held positions at several of the most prestigious high-end jewelry brands, and for the eight years before joining WDC had been Head of Communications and Industry Relations at Rubel & Ménasché, a Paris-based diamond trading company.
Also serving as WDC’s General Counsel, Udi Sheintal earlier was for two years the Deputy Managing Director at the Israel Diamond Institute, the umbrella body representing all stakeholders in the country’s diamond industry, and before then Managing Director of the Israel Diamond Manufacturers Association. Prior to joining the private sector, he worked in government, as Vice Director of Israel’s Ministry of Industry, Trade and Labor and, within the department, as Diamond Controller and Director of the Diamonds, Precious Stones and Jewelry Administration. Previously, he was a Commercial Attache for Israel in the United States and a Trade Commissioner for Israel in Canada.
David J. Bonaparte is President & CEO of Jewelers of America, the leading national association for businesses serving the fine jewelry marketplace in the United States. Since 2013, he has led the organization’s mission to support its members through advocacy, education and ethical business practices. Prior to joining Jewelers of America, he held senior leadership roles at Reed Exhibitions and oversaw the global JCK jewelry portfolio. Active across numerous industry organizations, he also serves as Treasurer of the U.S. Jewelry Council and Diamonds Do Good, and Vice Chair of the Diamond Council of America.
