The Kimberley Process met for its  Intersessional meeting in Dubai, UAE, from May 13 through 17, 2024, where for the first time mid-year gathering concluded with an ad-hoc session of the KP Plenary. WDC representatives led a number of the key discussions, including Dr. Adriana Traviati, who moderated a panel of mining community representatives and experts; Kele Mafole, who chaired the sub-team considering the revision of the conflict diamond  definition; and James Evans Lombe, who chaired the Working Group of Diamond Experts.
