The Kimberley Process met for its  Intersessional meeting in Dubai, UAE, from May 5 through 9, 2025. Speaking during the closing session of the gathering, WDC President Feriel Zerouki noted that meaningful progress had been made during the week towards expanding the Kimberley Process definition of conflict diamonds. “This time, we feel that the majority of KP members have come prepared with the will to modernize the definition and the will to make the Kimberley Process as impactful as it was at its inception,” she said.
