Iewelry, and more specifically diamonds, continue to play a very significant role in India’s remarkable story. The sector is one of its largest export earners and a strategically important manufacturer.

Sierra Leone’s brutal civil conflict helped set in motion the set of forces that led in January 2003 to the launch of the KImberley Process.

The discovery in 1991 of 89 small diamonds in Canada’s Northwest Territory was to set off the largest staking rush in North American history. It also would change the industry.

For diamonds, South Africa has always represented more than the sum of its collective parts. In many respects, it is the birthplace of the diamond industry as we know it today.

The Nambian seabed, rich with high-quality alluvial diamonds, not only helped build an industry, but also a nation.
